Joliet Generating Station

During the second quarter of 2022, the Company announced the planned retirement of the Joliet generating facility in 2023. On September 1, 2023, the Joliet generating facility fully retired.
Powerton Generating Station
Pekin, Illinois
Powerton Generating Station is a 1,538 MW facility that can power approximately 1,230,400 homes. The units operate on low-sulfur coal, using Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) technology and Activated Carbon Injection (ACI) technology specific to control Mercury, to comply with Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS).
Will County Generating Station
Romeoville, Illinois
Will County Generating Station was a 510 MW facility that could power approximately 408,000 homes. Unit 4, which operated on low-sulfur coal, though, ceased operating in May, 2022.
Waukegan Generating Station
Waukegan, Illinois
Waukegan Generating Station was a 790 MW facility that could power approximately 632,000 homes. While the coal-fired units were retired in May 2022 and are in the process of being decommissioned, there are still two small peaking units in operation at the station.
